None of you who keep complaining are held hostage here. The job market is on fire. If you're really that unhappy here there's nothing to stop you from finding a new job. It's easier to do now than ever. I understand that people need to vent, I'm not saying not to do it. But some of you seem so utterly miserable here that it makes no sense for you to stay here when there's an easy way out.

No, why should we leave? Randy's the one who s--ks!!
Yes, if you don't like what has become of a once-fine company under the current regime, just LEAVE. We hear ya, boss-man. It's your company, after all. Not like it's employee-owned or anything.
Really sad to see responses like this. I left corporate on my own a few years ago thinking that HyVee corporate just wasn't the right cultural fit for me. It's weird how at the time, half my colleagues thought I was crazy while the other half was extremely supportive of my decision.
Now that I see how they've handled multiple corporate layoffs, I'm more than happy that I left that dumpster fire and made my life better. This is a good chance for others to improve their quality of life. There are PLENTY of good employers in Des Moines that genuinely care about their employees.
Maybe they are just being nice warning people about how horrible it is to work there. As a former HyVee employee, I wish I knew what I knew before I worked there.
Kind of hard when they give you zero job reference other than "Yes they worked here"

It seems like activity on this site has really dried up. Looks like the unhappy already left.
Left just over a month ago. The grass is truly greener. It's amusing for me to check back on this site occasionally just as a reminder of why I left. Hy-Vee was truly pathetic. If your on the fence to leave, just do it. You won't regret it.
Exactly. Stop whining and take control of your future.
