open reqs != hiring for roles. Wishful thinking that those are real jobs.
In the US, companies have to open and advertise requisitions to qualify to open Visas for foreign workers. Plenty of jobs, but they will be filled by least cost resources when possible.

Translation: unless you're management or have good connections there, we're going to outsource your job to somewhere where slave labor is the norm and quality doesn't exist - to keep costs low and please our investors. Zero long-term strategy and seat-of-your-pants quarterly huckster "leadership".

But there is no known redundancy programme.

Translation: Lenovo doesn't give a sh!t about you. If you're in the way of a five cent profit, you're gone... Lenovo thinks they're so sought after that you should consider it a privilege to breathe the same air as your chinese overlords and U.S. snake-oil salesmen managers.

Lenovo literally has thousands and thousands of open job roles. It grows year on year at phenomonel pace. Incredible results.

Some people might be in a job role that could be done more cost effective elsewhere.

But there is no known redundancy programme.
