Thread regarding Citrix Systems Inc. layoffs

Scared to be honest

We have a survey that has gone out to share feedback how things have been going. They say it’s anonymous, but it can’t be anonymous because you get a personalized link.

Remember, surveys are never anonymous.

They have been doing culture surveys multiple times a year ever since I’ve been here - a number of years.

The culture has been getting steadily worse every quarter year on year, for a number of years.

What does that tell you?

As a manager they are completely anonymous. The only way you would be able to tell is if the free hand comments are examined by a forensic linguist. No one has time for that. Also the survey companies would lose all trust if they were secretly selling the data back to the company.

If it's not anonymous, then I might be in trouble since I was brutally honest with my unhappiness. I think the only thing thing I was kind about was my direct manager, since they are doing the best with the little support Citrix is giving.

I've put some pretty downright nasty things in the survey, specifically calling out the CEO and others with some pretty harsh language. Never get nothing back from it. Feel free to tell the brutal honest truth. I'm an escalation engineer.

Survey is not anonymous to the Survey company, obviously, since they report back by manager.
Survey company say they don't share the results with Citrix, but whether you believe that is up to you.

Who cares? Is my honest reply the tipping point for continued employment? If my survey responses are a veiled screening mechanism, and the primary deciding factor for retention — instead of my job performance — then I’m happy to fail. Living in fear is slavery, and I’m not willing to participate in any of that. Good luck.

The culture won’t change with feedback given by the survey. Every year people give feedback and nothing changes. Glad I work for a company now that shows employees the feedback given and what they are doing to change it or if they are implementing an idea. Citrix keeps the same sh---y culture they have always had.
