Thread regarding ADP layoffs

Pay info

For a company that is all about payroll, they sure are secretive about how they pay us. Anyone know why?

I'd like to tell you but I don't want to get fired.

Seriously though, grade step increases are secret information. At least they were in my department. Years ago during my annual reviews, I would ask for compensation rates for the grade steps above me so that I could plan to see how much I would receive upon promotion. That information was freely provided by my manager. Then it stopped. When I inquired HR, they pretended not to understand what I was talking about. Then they said it was now a secret. However, I still managed to persuade HR to give me "a glimpse". They were upset and uncomfortable doing this for me, so I knew better than to ask for that info at my next yearly appraisal.

Does anybody know what the typical promotional raise is from Spec I to Spec II, or from Spec II to Spec III?

Once a VP told us we can't talk about salary or else we get fired. I lol at the comment but that is the thought at ADP. To surpress wages, the leaders have the mindset to fire anyone who talks and complains about it. Just know you are under paid.

ADP wants employees who are dedicated and work hard and who are not concerned with being paid well. After all, if you are gung ho about working hard and in providing the most value to ADP, why should you care about compensation? You don't want to be perceived as a "hired g-n" or "pr-------e" who is just there for the money. Besides, being paid less frees up money for ADP to use and invest into areas that promote the interests of the company. As a result, ADP does better.

Thus, there is no reason to know the intricacies of being paid. Employees are there to work and work hard. Nothing else.

Because employees are paid well under market value. Almost everyone I have spoken to who left made almost 20k more annually for the same position at another company.

Because if they were to get exposed about the unfair wages and employee rights violations occurring, there would be a mass boycott and public cancellation of ADP.
