Thread regarding Citrix Systems Inc. layoffs

Future of Wrike with Russian sanctions?

Does anyone know how the Russian sanctions will impact Wrike's ability to sell or our ability to merge with Vista?

When we bought Wrike we made the decision to keep it a separate, Russian incorporated, entity. Sanctions prohibit US entities from trading, buying, and selling Russian goods, potentially impacting sale of Wrike's software and services alongside selling the company itself.

I ask for friend.

It's an American company, with CEO Andrew Filev living in the USA etc.

While majority of Wrike engineers are either from Saint Petersburg (Russia) or recently relocated from SPB to Prague, Russian guys from SPB are pretty much separated from any Citrix systems so there shouldn't be much to worry about in terms of Citrix security etc. Still, they've got access to Wrike customers' data which may or may not be a risk right now, dunno. AFAIK, among Wrike customers are some rather important Western banking institutions but this might have changed recently.

They had intended to close the Saint Petersburg office before Citrix sages finally decided to keep Wrike as a separate entity (rather than devouring it whole). Wonder if they are happy about this decision now.

Mr. Putin has always been a Citrix champion. He has been staying productive using Citrix tech since the MetaFrame days. He was not about to let Bob and his friends ki-l the company in foolish PE buyout. He planned to bid on it and take matters into his own hands, but when the bidding went up to $16B and knowing US sanctions could put a stop to all this, he figured war would cost him a lot less.
