It's never time to do that. As an employee, the union places I worked were always the worst. Overrun with entitled people who couldn't be fired even though they were mediocre to bad at their jobs.
Stop trying to make the union thing work, never gonna happen. I want to get paid my cr---y wage based on my performance not some lazy slacker doing the same job.
