Thread regarding Union Pacific Corp. layoffs

Best place to work in the system

It has nothing to do with layoffs, but I was interested in the post where someone wrote that North Platte NE is one of the worst places to work in the system. I have to agree. However, I wouldn’t know which is the best place (i.e., the least bad place)?

North Platte is not a bad place to work. In fact it is the best place on the railroad to work and raise your family. hands down and it isn't even close.

I have worked all over the system, I think West Texas is the best. San Antonio to El Paso. Just my opinion of course.

Pick a place in rural America. Far away from superintendent office , single main track with Ctc. Lots of sunny weather in Dalhart. TX
