EPIC2 has "execution" as its first priority, i.e. get the release out, "customers" comes next to last and "community" last of all. Unfortunately, don't you think VMW actually does live its EPIC values?

For me it’s the disappointment from a missed opportunity to embrace a really large population inside the company. These are the moments that change cultures. Now we know.
And even with language or statutes in play, the company could have fought harder and longer. This is EPIC2 now.

The hiring of Josh Burgin was a symptom of what is already in the executive ranks. I can assure you that for every one Josh Burgin that gets discovered and dismissed, there are a dozen Josh Burgins that stick around way too long.
