Shell Sells Norco

When will Shell sell NORCO Refinery and / or Chemical Plant?

Once NORCO is gone, Shell will be no refining capacity/ liability in USA.

I can see PEMEX making an offer for NORCO in a few years.

If they sell Norco the DS folks should start polishing up their resumes. It will be the beginning of the end for refining for sure.

Ya well- exact same thing was said about Deer Park- that it was going to remain a strategic hub and one of the global “Energy Hubs.” Remember this: Everything is for sale at some point.

Shell will probably not sell Norco. It’s always been considered an “Energy Hub” and with the announcement of Covent being converted to bio fuels, Norco will be vital in supplying chemicals to that plant.
