2022 Layoff Across the board rumor - 10%?

I heard a rumor that there was going to be a 10% layoff across the board due to missed numbers from 2021. Does anyone know if these are true?

The McKinney & Dallas locations has laid off people due to being over budget. Not sure of the number of employees but by department eliminated 7 of the 9 employees. I was a new employee who only worked there 5 months. They are so disorganized and very in efficient. Very poor ran operations, do not work there.

So all that money RMD (previously RMS) dumped into new buildings on the Tucson Campus now won't have or have low staffing? How ironic.

Within RMD we've been given direction to reduce our headcount. So we're moving people around programs that are over running and getting rid of the low performers, new hires by placing them in programs with more funding that are not at risk

With respect to 2iez+1f5Ieysu. I really don't think there are very many of the "Golden Handcuff" retirement people anymore that would benefit from the interest rate increase.
If anything they'll retire early just out of general dissatisfaction.
What has happened in the past (and what I'd like to see) is a lot of the more experienced scientists that can afford to leave, leave in groups, form their own companies, and take business away from Raytheon. But, now we're into the legalities of them being forced to sign a non-compete agreement.

Maybe BU specific, but the corporate level missed revenue wasn't nearly bad enough to result in any kind of layoffs. Legacy RTN units are still hiring, having a hard time keeping up with retirements which are likely to accelerate in the next 2-3 years with rising interest rates.

There has been a lot of rumors flying around since the merger. What you say sounds appropriate though, I work in the manufacturing section and delivery dates were almost always missed as well as the total amount of many of the orders were incomplete. They implemented monitoring systems to our machinery to get a gauge on who is most and least productive, sign of things to come.
