What’s great is after they sc--w us they are still going to expect me to take call outs. Already confirmed with hr that it is expected not required…so how much will they loose while the line is down while they scramble for someone to take the call.

Is there any update to this?

Seems like USW union big wigs are just buying time and getting cozy with the MPC execs. Once again blue collar is gonna get screwed.

Yeah, it’s not 1900 anymore, MPC has moved to 1950.

It’s no longer 1900. Children aren’t working in factories, employees aren’t working 18 hour days. Union members are like spoiled children, always begging for more and driving jobs outside the US. Grow up and learn a solid work ethic.

I know that comment wasn’t true the second you said “management showing appreciation” nice try

I hear the non union sites are getting big raises and bonuses as management wants to show appreciation for not being a pain in the A*% union :)

Meanwhile, MpC is willing to pay 20% over market for someone to sit at a desk and push buttons.

Leave it to the cheapskates at MPC to make ridiculous offers. Looks like they want a costly strike at this rate. Whoever thought they should be lead negotiator is high as a kite.

Any better offer they make to the union will simply come at the expense of salaried workers. Can't cut into the fat bonus of Mr. H! Heavens no!

Fellow USW member here: we are definitely willing to strike and hold out at my plant. I’m hearing rumors that National negotiations aren’t looking so great over one major issue. It’s not even about the 9% pay increase (which most people would think). The issue is retrogression. We went on strike in 2015 over it.

USW better not give them an inch. Don’t ever trust Mpc management.

Marathon has shown time and time again how clueless and out of touch they are. They really are a joke and now flat out showing they want people to quit so they don’t have a layoff. It’s disgusting and the higher ups make me sick. They can take their town halls and swag and shove it up their a-s.
