Russia won't be invading Ukraine. That would result in Russians essentially having a civil war with much of Russia's military bogged down in a drawn out gorilla war in Ukraine just like what happened to them and the US in Afghanistan. This could easily result in the Russian people finally mounting a successful revolution to remove Puttin and his corrupt cronies. This is all nothing more than a desperate Puttin trying to negotiate with the West to improve his declining popularity in Russia.

Boeing has not had competent, experienced, knowledgeable engineers or engineering management since about 2010. Boeing has had to use Australian, China, India and Russian engineers since then. So that ship has long since sailed and is sinking like the Titanic while their PR band keeps playing loudly... Best to start learning Chinese.
Given the sanctions that the United States has in place how is Boeing permitted to have a design center in Moscow? They don’t think that those aeronautical engineers in Moscow won’t be designing airplanes for Russia should there be a conflict over Ukraine?
Outside of China Russia is United States biggest threat if we have the largest aerospace company United States training their workforce to design airplanes? Could you imagine a large Company training engineers in Germany during the build up to World War II?
Greed is destroying this country particularly corporate greed
Putin was supposed to start the war but he fell asleep at the Olympics and now the window of opportunity has passed because the ground in Ukraine has started thawing (so the military equipment would get stuck in the mud). #DictatorLivesMatter.
Pentagon will soon announce that they are buying Airbus tankers.
The clueless Pentagon should send the useless POS KC-46 tankers that cant fly to Ukraine in a show of support. That's will scare the Russians. The Russians can use them as target practice.
Russian engineers at the Boeing Design Center in Moscow also will participate in the 777X detailed design.
If not done in Russia who will do the engineering?
Yup, another couple billion right off coming in the next quarterly report. Great job on 737Max and 777X Micheal Teal...enjoy your retirement and severance package!
Word now is the FAA won't allow certification of a 777X passenger version for several more years at best, so maybe only a freighter version for foreseeable future. Will be the most expensive freighter development of all time.
Who knows...but there will be layoffs and lost pensions when Boeing goes bankrupt and is broken up and sold off.
I know that Boeing imports a lot of titanium from Russia and a trade embargo could tremendously hurt the supply chain.
Not now unless some bird suddenly fall from the sky again due to poor sub-standard workmanship. They are hiring back new ones rather than recall the laid-off. Get in, make good money, save and don't worry if you are laid-off since you have skills and some cushion to fall back
