Thread regarding VMware layoffs

Any layoffs happened?

Anyone knows if any layoffs happened ? Maybe next Tuesday Feb 4th?

Anyone aware of layoffs in Palo Alto? Or there is no layoffs this round because technically most good engineers already left?

Is VMware still giving packages? Hopefully you got a decent one for 16+ yrs.

I got laid off about 3 weeks ago after 16+ years. Level of stress way down, slept for a few weeks, pretty happy to not be there

VMware management is cutting costs to make the company more affordable to a buyer.

The order management team is gone, and now moving to low cost? That scares the cr-p out of me. I had multiple customers do deals at the end of the quarter and the fulfillment of those was already bad enough. I cannot imagine how much worse it will get.
