What do the leaders in inside sales do all day?

Ive been an associate for 4 years in the inside sales org. I have seen really good leadership and have seen terrible. It is a popularity contest as to who gets promoted and now the King of surveys sits at the top of the throne. I use to have regular documented one on ones and coachings. Now all leadership does is pretend to care while basically trying to burn everyone out. 50 to 60 dials a day while leadership sits in meetings I never see anything good come from. It continues to hold us accountable but i bet these managers and directors have no idea who is coaching as I said in 4 years ive seen maybe 12 records of call coachings and the scorecard review??? Come on, make these leaders work because they aren't. They sit there after knowing the endless things we cant sell or deliver ot areas the business decided to drop and they give us an increase to ensure everyone does not scatter like roaches?? They just did a cut to save and trim the budget but almost everyone gets new titles?? I know those loyalist will say if you're unhappy then leave but here is the thing, i want the business to value the role and the people it employs. In my 4 years ive had some great leaders who are no longer here. Take action and dont just hold the hourly folks accountable because your constant meetings are not doing anything but taking you further away from the customer. They laugh at is when we call and say, ive taken over your account. Your my 15th AM. Accountable from top to bottom and the progress will speak for itself.

If doing a job is a burden- go find another job. Every job should be important and valued and if you don’t feel that way it is time to find your happiness somewhere else.

You have no idea the level of stress and pressure that gets placed on the Inside Sales Managers. There’s so much that gets filtered before it makes it to the associate in order to make it less of a burden on you guys. We are just as burnt out (if not more) than you guys are. Your gripe is with the SLT not with SMs. You want to talk about being “burnt out”……??? at least you clock out at the end of the day. Our job seems to never end as one day just flows to the next.
