I know construction was stopped, but did the yard become a landfill?

Brazos yard is not unused. We are actively using it everyday. What was built is actually full. Officially it’s mothballed due to SEC filings. Unofficially it’s now called “Mumford yard” and is open for Englewood support.
You can check UP online. Union Pacific has already taken a one time loss write off on that project. They’re just trying to be careful because they don’t want any lawsuits from the folks whose land they took getting the property. The project is officially curtailed.

We do set outs and pick ups in 3 different tracks. That's it.

Nope, heard the long term plans was to build it after all, but smaller to start with.
