We have at over 20 colleagues/managers out with covid in our store. Besides one alert that ONE person in our store has covid, everything elseis hush hush. Our fellow colleagues have taken the steps to alert the people they have been in contact with. Wouldn't it be nice if we went back to the days of having our temperature checked at the door, but instead having an in store Covid test done instead. We are not talking about one or two with covid, over 20 is too many not to do anything about it. We are all trying to get testing on our own. With inventory being around the corner, who knows.

I (we) received a notice at our location as well, when I asked what does it mean? the store manager reaction was very shrug of the shoulder, he said it’s just letting us know it was reported and documented. There was no suggestion of what we should do like get tested if we thought we were in contact with said person because they wouldn’t/couldn’t? mention names. 🤯

We only get the store alert if the colleague was in the building during a certain timeframe after testing positive. My colleague worked, tested next day and I did a case. Store alert was sent Then I had 2 more test positive 2 days after but they weren’t in the building within so many hours/days after testing. So no alerts.
I don’t have all the details but it is not Mays Landing Hamilton Mall. Third party Vendor who is not sure what Macy’s plan is for full time versus part time.
My store is also extremely hush hush about the amount of people out with covid. We only got one notification for one case, however multiple people are out. This has been happening for a while now.
Which store are u in who have covid? ANY IN SOUTH JERSEY OR THE MACYS IN MAYS LANDING NJ ? Any confirmation is it definitely true macys is making full timers part timers?
I was just in a store that had several people out with Covid in NJ. Might or might not be the same store but wow. Macy’s doesn’t care about your health or your ability to do the job bottom line. Senior Management and their stockholders are top priority. I’ve heard rumors as far as which stores would close but not sure if they’re waiting on Inventory results for certain ones. In a previous post someone mentioned if your store was told not to do inventory you’re closing. The one Neighborhood I am aware of is doing Inventory so I guess have to wait and see.
Don’t expect Macy’s to be honest about Covid or anything for that matter. We had people out with Covid and my store acted like they knew nothing about it.
All this greedy company cares about is Wall Street and the giving the Senior so called managers millions is their annual bonus.
The hypocrites running this company need to stop with our colleagues health and safety are our top priority. They could care less about us.
