Vista just sank 2+ billion in Salesloft, and that’s just to get a share of it. Not anything close to outright ownership. These folks have plenty of money, and Citrix doesn’t have anywhere else to go. The pitch to the banks will be a vision for breaking up the company and selling it in pieces. Wrike, Sharefile, Right Signature, and then what we know to be Citrix right now can be split up between VAD and Security. There are many avenues to go if you look at it that way. Also — this would be an investment from two (separate) equity firms. They won’t go into this holding hands and looking for synergies. Citrix is a dying star — they’ll bust it up, distribute it among the 2 firms and then those firms will sell the assets for their ROI (see Vista sells Wrike to Citrix)
