Thread regarding Macy's Inc. layoffs

is fulltime really going?

Ive been reading on here that fulltime is going next year and im worried that i might regain some self worth, adequate rest and finally some life balance. Im very worried because ive been enjoying the mental and physical abuse for years at macys and worried that i might not fit in a normal company that treats their employees well.

I'm looking for some confirmation here as well. If you are in the know and are able to provide details without the typical "JG bad" troll talk, this full-timer with decent benefits would like to know. Thanks.

The current and future of retail is part time, open availability, with no benefits. It's basically becoming unskilled labor. Fast food pays better.

I wouldn't be surprised if Macy's eliminates the majority of full time colleague positions in 2022, especially with the $15 per hour going into effect. This company talks a big game of wanting the best but their practices prove otherwise. It's apparent that the company does not care about their colleagues and it's only going to get worse.

I feel the same way. I wouldn't even know how to act in a more professional setting. I'd be like the proverbial boy raised by wolves.

You are suffering from the Stockholm Syndrome and will most likely need professional help.
