With the New Year nearly here, let's see if we can think of a way for Citrix to turn itself around. Is there a way to fix the mess that the management has created or is it already too late?

Turnaround coming soon.
OP is an HR plant. Get OUTTA HERE, HR!
Oh the irony of OP seeking hope and optimism on a site that’s literally thelayoff.com.
#5 and #6 has a lot of overlap. Podio and Wrike especially. Also Wrike has many evolving parts that’s creating redundancies with ShareFile. I’d put my bet on one of them getting sold off. It may not be bad for Box to acquire ShareFile just for customers. The current leadership has completely neglected any meaningful investment and innovation on ShareFile for last many years.
Hedge funds have terrible returns for their investors. Sp500 beats them. Elliot is one of the worst.
Elliott and Vista know what they are doing. Here's what I think will happen
- Take the company private
- Split into 4 distinct business units CVAD, ADC, Wrike, and Work Solutions
- Combine CVAD with Vista's other portfolio company Tibco, to get sales/marketing synergies and make the combined entity more attractive as an IPO in a year or two. Or just milk the install base as a cash cow.
- Sell ADC/Netscaler to a networking company that has better sales & marketing synergies.
- Invest in Wrike for growth and take it public whenever it's ready.
- Invest in ShareFile/RightSignature/Podio as a growth Work Solutions SaaS business, figure out what to do with it later.
There's good value in Citrix for an investor that knows how the different businesses need to be managed and organized.
It depends on what you are turning around for. A hostile take over, to strip the company down to size and make it sellable? Absolutely.
Just all depends what’s in the rear view mirror.
I personally believe we're too far gone.
