Thread regarding Cox Automotive layoffs

Would you go back?

Would you go back to Cox Automotive if you were laid off? Laid off in 2020 under "Covid" and have been contacted about other jobs in different departments. Just curious if this ever ends well or will it be another every year or so worry to be part of a layoff?

There is always risk of being part of another round of layoffs but if you don't mind the new position, go for it. The company does offer good benefits. At the same time, the job market is also great so you could also explore at the same time. With a company this large at Cox you do have to make sure you stand out and move around, even if laterally ... Don't get pigeonhole yourself into one skillset

Not out of a job, just fearful of getting burned again.. Even when the company is doing well they seem to have layoffs (and not always the right people are hit)

Of course if your out of a job, why wouldn't you go back? Salary, health benefits, an work from home bouns! You would be nuts not to take a job, you can always leave anytime you find something better
