Thread regarding Macy's Inc. layoffs

Innovative Pilot

OVM’s now Operations or Style Setter Managers? Anyone have info on this? Is the Style Setter Manager just a glorified CSX? Will they do CSX functions in addition to support functions? Is the Ops job like the Operator job in the past?

Style Setter Manager? What in the world would they do ? Macys stores has no real fashion to offer. Macy’s private brands are all poor quality, made with cheap fabrics, off colors and bad construction.
The home store merchandise is not even up to Walmart standards. Most brands offered there are mass merchant offerings with very little quality brands sprinkled in. The home store is a total embarrassment.
Macy’s having style setters is like putting lipstick on a pig.
They need to start with cleaning their filthy store’s instead of style setters.

Innovative pilot did not work in my store. Support went from supporting the sales floor to back to 5-2 , 4-1. They have to pick for 2 hours in the am . Otherwise it’s same old same old.
Work in the stores at different volume levels and see what the stores need to operate successfully. Still unloading Xmas goods the day after. Something is wrong with the process.
