Sounds like an unstable company. Maybe they could plan more than two months ahead on their payroll.

it's not changing anytime soon.
ever since the first layoff in July 2001, that culture has always been about recovering from the last layoff, and fearing the next one. there's never been a 3-year run without some significant layoff in some part of the company. it never leaves the minds of employees who have been there long enough to remember the last layoff. and it's the first thing long-term employees talk about when they gather together outside of work. so deal with it, or move on.
I could really use less stress in my life right now.
