Thread regarding Teradata Corp. layoffs

What's wrong with them?

I am not a person who thinks too highly of himself, of course there are many better employees, but it is not normal to expect that something that is difficult to finish in a few days will be done in a few hours. What does Teradata want?
People to feel bad that they don't meet such unrealistic expectations and leave on their own? Or maybe someone to really try to get the job done in such a short time? Total nonsense.

Typical…. I noticed the leadership thinks everything’s “cut and paste” abd can be done in “5 minutes”.

This is, in part, the reason why Teradata is going down in flames. Rather than promoting from within, as had been the case for many years, managers who have no insight into Teradata are hired from the outside.

Teradata does not know what i wants.

Leadership after leadership is trying to do something to see if it will work out . But the problem is many times their assumption is wrong, or they give up too soon.

In terms of crazy deadlines, things have become better the second half. Even Dan S, says you can expect people to do crazy work with teradata pay :P

So if your leadership is pushing you like crazy, just ignore them and there is nothing they can do about it.

there is plenty of jobs
