I decided to put it behind me with no severance. I would rather not be miserable every day of my life and having to answer to incompetent VPs, directors and managers who are only trying to save themselves by kissing the next persons a-s. I felt stuck and like I wasn’t living up to my potential and it put me in a bad headspace bc I know I could do better but no matter what we just kept losing quarter after quarter (numbers wise).
Although I do get it if you’ve been there for years and get a large payout. I was there one year so the juice wasn’t worth the squeeze for me. I can tell you I’ve only been out for a few weeks and my life has improved dramatically and I work for a much better org, so there is hope.
