Thread regarding Allscripts layoffs

Oracle Buys Cerner...Who might buy Allscripts

Cerner is an Oracle based system and 95% of Cerner's customers are hosted which Oracle can move to their cloud and there are still over 2000 hospital facilities in the US on Cerner and they are still at least winning new Community deals.
The comparable move for Allscripts would be Microsoft, but Allscrips only has probably 200 US based hospitals still running with about 15%-20% leaving for Epic in the next few years so there is really nothing meaningful left for Microsoft to want.
The only thing that might make sense would be for a venture capital firm to buy Veradigm and the ambulatory business. The acute busines has no growth prospects.

AHS has less than 75 hospital customers, third leaving, third looking, third too poor to replace the AHS EMR. Not putting Microsft on the stupid buyer list...

No meaningful integrations across any of the product lines, maintenance updates, documentation and viable product support are non-existent - a consistent theme echoed across the customer base. Field services teams have no faith in the product teams to deliver new capabilities, let alone bug fixes. Bottom feeders will be showing up to buy bits and pieces of AHS for pennies on the dollar.

My bet is on Chimpy’s Pizza. They could run it better than current leadership.

That's a pipe dream
Nothing in Allscripts is of any value. Competitors are taking the clients worth any value. All products are flat line no industry value. Recall their AI claim. Product Never. They will just continue to crumble to dust.

Once Northwell leaves, Allscripts will sell Sunrise and Horizon to Oracle for cheap. Allscripts leadership will use debt to repurchase shares to drive up the amount of their golden parachute while driving down the cash Oracle will need to purchase since Oracle likes to bid low.
