Thread regarding Macy's Inc. layoffs

What i like about this time of Year

What i like about this time of Year is that the rollercoaster gets its high point and everyone's in a good mood , tired stressed out and wiped out exhausted (not that any of you corporates clowns care at all about stores employees well being or anything for that matter. ) then Jan 1st hits and then you realized Inventory is coming and after you make it thru the Inventory you are now expecting to me laid off.. isn't Macys such a nice company to work for?

Pessimistic? Is this JG posting again ?

You obviously are in LaLa land. Macy’s was understaffed all of 2020 that is the only reason they are making a profit.

They worked their employees to the bone all year and then worked us to death in November and December. Now they want us to work overnight for inventory. Guess what I am going to be exposed to Covid and need to quarantine for inventory.

This company is run by ruthless, greedy, lying backstabbers. Why do you think so many people are quitting?
The people that work are paid less than seasonal new hires who do minimal. Go ahead and defend this unethical organization and see where they leave you in February. You will have cut hours, less benefits or no job at all.

I have accepted a new position that unfortunately does not start until February. I cannot wait to give these deceitful people my notice.

I believe that you are overly pessimistic. Macy's cut back big time when Covid-19 started and hasn't really added that many new people(with some exceptions). Most Seasonals are let go in Feb. and a few are kept if needed. This is very normal. I think Macy's is more or less back to 2019 with fewer people. Seasonal is just what it is!
