Thread regarding Macy's Inc. layoffs

Can't they at least do that much?

I’m not asking for much, at the moment I’m grateful to have any kind of job until I find a better one. I have come to terms with the fact that working here is very difficult, I have come to terms with the fact that the manager is a very difficult and conflicting person, I have come to terms with the fact that I am not paid enough for the amount of work I do.
However, all I ask is that they do not change the schedule constantly.
Does it always have to be such a mess with the schedule?
Can’t they at least have minimum of respect for employees and show it by not changing the schedule constantly?

If you are in California register a complaint with the CA State Labor Board regarding the schedule changing. We complained to the CA Labor Board while I was working at Sears for this very reason and the labor board came in and made Sears stop it. Stand up for yourself.

Leave as soon as you possibly can. When you resign, said manager will probably give you sh-t about leaving them in a bad spot, betrayal, etc. Feel free to air out your grievances when your manager pushes back and tries to make you feel like a bad employee. Threaten to not work your remaining shifts if things get really nasty. Obviously you only do this once you have another job lined up.

If your schedule is being changed constantly, you need to complain. Schedules are not supposed to be changed without your permission. If that is happening, file a complaint with solutions in store. Don't be a doormat.
