It bugs me to know that there are companies out there that will do anything to keep their best employees because they know the value they bring to the table, while our management can't wait to get rid of all the most knowledgeable and experienced people because they're 'too expensive.' It shows how little they know about running the company and how much they rely on number crunchers to make the decisions for them. No wonder this place is doing as badly as it is.

I went to another company that sprouted employee welfare. Discovered it is no different anywhere else. No matter where you go people are expendable and there will always be someone else ready to take your role. Corporate America.

You can be delivering and exceeding your targets. Then one day, you’ll get a meeting request out the blue.
Happens annually with such regularity - it’s the TD way - designed to make the books look good and keep the exec the right side of the market metrics.
The leadership equivalent of colouring by numbers. In fact it’s not even that - its scribbling with a crayon.
It is hard to see unfair treatment (firing) of several people who worked their butts off and reconcile that with HR acting like they care and want us to stay.
You have to wonder - if others are treated that way, when will that happen to me? Management really should consider the impact on others who see the shoddy treatment before they toss people out for things that are out of their control.
Such companies don't exist anymore. Companies understand that the best people will stay for around 2 years, so they will offer the best salaries and best positions for the best just to attract them. Anybody who stays longer simply cannot find anything else, so why should company care about them?
You can only crunch numbers and squeeze juice from a lemon for so long. It’s just a matter of time before the final curtain falls.
The next earnings call will be embarrassing Only so many times you can spout nonsense and say ‘a few big deals slipped into next quarter’ - ‘the pipeline is looking strong’ - ‘we’ve some big, new customers’
I’m really stoked and so excited I cannot wait.
