I put in my online application with T-mobile yesterday. Let's test the waters. I'm treated like sh-t here. Money talks. Verizon has no loyalty and hasn't created a culture I want to stay working in.
@1dnh+1ejubSS9 earning potential is definitely better than verizon now solely because of commissions. the hourly means next to nothing. I used to clear 100K on the old pay structure, left to be an AE at an SEO company making the same. The hourly is virtue signaling and buying good will, but I agree, Verizon is so far gone about employee compensation. It seems like they hired fresh college mbas who have never worked a day in their life.
This OT incentive I heard about from old colleagues is a joke. I'd love to see the as-----ns that thought this up work with customers 10 hours a day for a month just to earn a measly $600. Oh wait, theres no inventory if I heard correct? great so you're not going to hit that extra multiplier because everything is on backorder until January.
@1zvw+1ejubSS9 I don’t think Verizon will look at it either but they better be prepared to lose more knowledgeable good reps. The other carriers stepped up the base pay which now is more then Verizon’s starting average PLUS they are still on individual commission. I’m pretty sure ATT & T-MOBILE get commission on anything considered payable so it’s guaranteed. Verizon’s team commission is not guaranteed even though it’s pretty hard not to make a 500 check. Verizon always had the better starting pay, commission and benefits but now they fall into third place. ( corporate stores). What have they done for retention lately ? ZERO. That speaks volumes for this company.
its not going to impact sales reps bc salary + commission is more than $20
AT&T pays more than that.
Another year, everyone is performing. No leading. Best sales rep on the team and I get the same raise as the bottom performer. Makes no sense. I'm done.
I’ve been with the company for 7 years . Making $23/hour.
Our new hires are making $21.
It’s not my business how much they make.
But it is my business when Verizon is making such a $hitty environment inside my store. I could run circles around the new reps who don’t put up solid numbers but there isn’t any point in working hard when all my efforts are crapped on by lame RIS scores coming from the noobs.
I’m at $23 after 10 years in the company. Made a .75 cent raise last year. Looks like I might look into that
