Gfx software team has 78 product managers. Why the he-l you need so many product managers? Max you need is 10. Due to this gfx software development is lagging big time.

around 1500 engineers in GFX SWE. PMs are just bloodsuckers and PDTs are double. Still working with spreadsheets... don't know how to write a simple python script.

Intel has so many products so needs a lot of product managers, Intel believes in selling each chip on the fab floor.

None of this is a surprise. For the last 20 years, Intel has been nothing else but a cash cow, and to remain happy a feeding Mother Cow needs a lot of calves.

OP: what is the difference between product manager, product owner, program manager and project manager? If you don’t know, how did you come up with the number?

8 people used to ask me for updates to put it on their monthly reports like as though they did the work or that I didn't know anything and they taught me how to work :)

Manager, PE, Sr PE, tech lead, architect, design manager, program manager and project manager. Another 2-3 would popup in my cube from time to time and raise their voice about something before I "trained" them on why they were wrong.
They would then walk away with 30 mins of training that I spent weeks to collect info and learn.

I was in my 30s and grade-7 at the time, well appreciated by peers, with 10+ years experience but there were days that I went home and cried.

I now work for another company for 10-12 hours a day but I go to sleep happy!

I work for Intel, and manage a team of >100 engineers in 8 sites, with one PM. I think that's enough

Industry norm is something like one product manager for every 10 developers. It seems like a lot of Product Managers because Intel doesn't know how to develop software. And usually product managers that are very hands on in developing and grooming the backlog, vs pushing powerpoint. What are your product managers doing?
