Thread regarding Sears layoffs

CA walk through.

Walkthrough of last Kmart in CA. To be clear, this is NOT my video. I just found it on YT. Apparently some lady recently filmed it:

Impossible. Grass Valley Kmart is owned by SB360 while Hamilton MT Kmart is owned by Transformco (Ed Lampert). Thoese are 2 separate, unrelated entities. Anyone who passed the 7th grade should Know that by now. Eddie Lampert sold the Grass Valley Kmart to SB360, back in October. Everything within those 4 walls are owned by SB360. They will absolutely not transfer merchandise to a store owned by someone else. They are not running a Charity here. The Grass Valley merchandise is property of SB360 and has absolutely nothing to do with Kmart or Sears at this point. Even the employees in there report to and work for SB360, even though Sears is nominally processing their Payroll, so their Checks would still be processed by Transformco.

When SB360 purchases a store, it is explained to the employees that your Check might still state Sears, the sign outside might still state Sears (or Kmart), but y'all are working for us now. SB360 owns and runs the store for the next few Days, until the end.

Cannot happen legally. Merch in Grass Valley is owned by SB360, stuff in Hamilton is owned by Transformed (Lampert). They are 2 separate, unrelated entities. Ed sold Grass Valley Kmart to SB so he has absolutely nothing to do with that store whatsoever. Nice try.

@bbq+1egfTAxx Or truck all remaining merchandise to next nearest Kmart, Hamilton Montana. 😃

They did have a lot left and the store looked pretty good. I skipped around the video because she was so detailed but I didn't see any-one-else in the store. When my Kmart closed it was busy again but got messy too. 6/2018.

To the poster below, yes they do seem to have a lot of junk left. Surprising, being that they are closing Dec. 19. I guess SB360 will put on some steep markdowns this Week, to empty it out.

Watched the video. Looks like a lot of junk still there even that far into the liquidation. If that's typical of what Kmart has been trying to sell all along, it's no wonder they couldn't stay in business.

They all should be gone soon. The way they've treated employees, creditors, retirees, vendors, investors, etc. is appalling. I wouldn't even walk into one of their pathetic liquidation sales.

Closing in 1 Week, apparently. Last Kmart in Pacific Time Zone. There are still 4 Sears in CA, 2 in WA, plus an UNTOLD amount of Sears Hometown stores.
