Thread regarding Crown Castle International Corp. layoffs

Changes in management compensation

Changes are coming in 2022. Supervisors and ops managers at the 6E pay grade will no longer be eligible for RSUs. A lot of supervisors will be upset. Without the long term incentives, plenty of talent will become part of the great resignation. Bye bye Crown.

Both sheetz and wawa pay about that much for an assistant manager. Plus they get stock.

M1 is the first level of management. We don't have 6E or anything anymore.

Something has to be done about all of the layers. We can hire 2 CMs for the price of one manager. I’m busting my a-s having to work 60 hours a week but can only clock 50 because my supv is always complaining about my OT hours. Meanwhile, I know he doesn’t work even 49 hours a week because he brags to the other Supv about how little he does. SMH.

You clearly don't work here. I'd tell you to check out the Career Framework on the connect page but you can't because you don't work here.

The #E/N jobs don't exist anymore there are now four groups. Support, technical, professional, and manager. And there's a whole framework for how they relate to each other.

So to answer your question... M1 is the first level of management, what was a supervisor at 6E.

This was discussed at length with our managers and on large calls and as the other person said we all received a letter explaining our person changes.

Depends on the market I guess. In my market the supervisors have many direct reports and do a lot, it would actually make more sense to get rid of the managers or Sr managers the way its set up now.

I want to know why we even need supervisors. I’ve seen sups with only 2 direct reports. I talk to my sup about once a month. I haven’t seen him in person since COVID started. If I ask him for something, he either tells me to figure it out or escalate it to his boss. Why do I need him?

"I took a look in ultipro and I notice the supervisor jobs that used to be 6E are now m1. WTF is M1?"

Do you not work here? They rolled out an enite new job structure that was discussed at length and every single employee received a letter with their new compensation information.

If you actually work here and don't understand you need to contact your manager immediately and find out if you got a pay cut haha.

“Its absolutely amazing people like you post this garbage. Won’t happen. If you’re an employee of Crown, please resign and go work elsewhere, take your misery with you.”

Chipping away at those golden handcuffs. There's a reason people stayed, let's degrade it until there's nothing left.

If you think that's bad, I feel sorry for all the PC's that can make more money at a gas station (Buc-ee's). You cannot run the company off the backs of a couple talented individuals. Crown needs to retain all the individual contributors that keep this ship afloat. 6E's do jack compared to all the PC's, analysts, and senior analysts that make all the magic happen.
