Thread regarding Broadcom Corp. layoffs

New 10b buyback and dividend increase

No money and no interest in RD, constant layoff. I think hocker is prepared to wrapping up last piece cake from his 4 ys contract and dumping whole company.

If you listen to Hock in his talks, he is pretty consistent. If you are not seeing what you would like to see, it does not mean that the plan is not being followed, just that you are not paying attention to the message or that the company is not one were you can achieve your ambitions. Myself, I'm not sure I want to stay around for long, but I will keep all stock because no matter the fluctuation that will happen (because at some stage the CEO will have to change), if the philosophy will be kept this will always be a strong company with a giant cash flow.
Don't expect this company to trow money on luxury dreams or keep people around just because they are cool guys.

Dude, what have you been smoking. The entire C suite already are millionaires. Hock made like 100+ million last year alone.

The implication is that the C-Suite are running the buy-back to drive up prices before dumping their entire share holding at the very top, after which they can walk away millionaires.

maybe but let's be honest, valuations are super high. we are M&A bottom feeders. not much out to there. but yeah.. buy back..drive up stock price, walk away with so much more...
