For those who say that grass is nowhere much greener, I say that it certainly is. Not only are people paid more, have better benefits and less stress in other companies, but they can finally start enjoying their work.
Everyone should ask themselves: When was the last time you enjoyed your work here?
Grass is always greener.
I love the company, the team and the work. Adjacent teams I come to interact with are horrible, filled with average/adequate performers, high concentration of certain type of ethnicity, usually reflecting its manager's ethnicity, and so on.

Good people have left the company and the few decent people that remain are in "retirement mode" sucking up to their boss known as the indian karate kid. He's a joke and everyone laughs at him. His rise is classic textbook Peter principle. Politics and mediocrity rules. The ESX 7.0 update 3 horror story was produced and directed by inept indian karate kid and other vsphere crooks. Hope vsphere doesn't crash and burn before my retirement. Haha.
I actually love my job here. You may be doing it wrong. I've worked for VMware for over 5 years and it's been the best career I've ever had.

No political games or back stabbing.. get bonus/ raises and promos regularly...

I personally enjoy every day at VMware. Maybe its my position but it seems to be going just fine.
