So apparently they don't care if you have been with them 10 years. Anniversary hit and nothing from anyone about appreciation. I guess that was reserved for the employee appreciation week where we got a 'hey good job'?

A few years ago I got a pdf because they had stopped with the pins. Didnt get a pdf this time guess it didnt go over too well or maybe is too expensive.
My Daughter just started working at Chik-fil-A. In the past month she has been to new hire dinner and a Holiday party - both just for her store. There is a reason service is always good there. Happy employees = productive employees. It's not rocket science.
I had my service anniversary in October. I have over 30 years with the company. My boss said nothing to me.
However, it was also VZ India's 20th anniversary as an organization. My boss publicly congratulated VZ India for their 20 years of service on the organization's slack channel.
About a week after my service anniversary, my boss told me I was being laid off. I was told to "take a couple days for myself". Then I was expected to spend my final two months with the company transitioning my work/job to Infosy$.
There is no point in crying over spilled milk. Time to move on!
Hoping for better days ahead!!
When I left Verizon after five years, I think once did anyone ever recognize a anniversary milestone or even my birthday (lol).
New smaller company has such a better culture that it was a little much at first, but then I realized I had just become accustomed to how sterile and dark Verizon's corporate culture was.
GTE sent us a catalogue. Nicest thing I got was a GTE belt buckle and belt. We used to have Social organizations like Telephone Pioneers.
GTE supported Amature Radio Emergency preparedness with tower space and equipment.
At retirement it was just a job. Dam proud of what I helped build.
THANKLESS company!
They're so cheap, they've done away with EVERYthing that was nice or fun. If you've been here awhile, you can remember all the different types of gifts, prizes, kick-offs, awards, co-----l parties, employee "appreciation" day gifts etc, that used to happen. NOT ANYMORE! Leadership is way too selfish: save all that money for my stock options and bonuses.
Really? That's what gets you fired up? The company didn't say Happy Anniversary.
I hit 25 years this year. Nothing.
I got a better one. For Veterans Day I got a cheap plastic pin. Honestly couldn’t even make out what the pattern was supposed to be it was so cheap
A couple years ago I got a neat military coin. Threw it in the trash as soon as I could. I think the postage cost more than the product
Remember that one time they bought pizza for you and your team?
That was it. Happy anniversary.
What do you want a cookie?
