Frustrating place to work

Everything here is a big source of frustration.

Management is frustration, schedules are frustration, register is frustration, job insecurity, toxic atmosphere, favoritism is frustration, etc.

Is there anything here that is not a source of frustration?

Then you receive pay which is also unsatisfactory for the amount of work you do.

CONCLUSION: I'm just wasting my time here and sacrificing my health.

Macy’s is a cesspool of lies and deceit and it has only gotten worse under the direction of JG.
Anybody thinking about taking a job with this organization should think twice and go seek employment elsewhere. I agree with poster much better choices and opportunities are available now with other equitable companies.

Imagine the frustration of an AST who trains every open position at least five times.

You've arrived. It sounds like you are ready to leave the thankless environment that is retail. This is one case where the grass is greener on the other side.

Macy’s used to be a good place to work but it keeps getting worse and worse every year especially the management. I have the most incompetent, laziest and stupidest managers on my floor that I have ever had in my career at Macy’s. Most of them got hired or promoted by favoritism. They have not a clue what they are doing and are grossly incompetent. It’s extremely frustrating especially during the holiday season.

What you are saying is totally true. It sounds like the store I worked at.
My advice get out now while the job market is hot. I got out of the toxic Macy’s work environment a few months ago and it was the best move of my life. I feel bad for the coworker’s who are still there through the Christmas season.
My store manager was a total incompetent, lying, hypocritical, waste of payroll. Unable to make decisions and he ran from any and all confrontation.
This created a toxic work environment that Macy’s chooses to ignore.
