Thread regarding Citrix Systems Inc. layoffs

Stop the gushing on LinkedIn

Oh no, now the pathetic former Sh-trix employees are posting these long gushing goodbyes on LinkedIn. They are posting bu-----t goodbyes like “what a special place to learn” or “ I was part of the special team at Sh-trix” or “everything I am is because of Sh-trix”.
Come on, give us a break and stop with this nonsense. You brainwashed id--ts are praising the same as-----s that sp-t on you, talked behind your backs, stabbed you and eventually got you layedoff to survive on the island.
It was bad enough the pathetic current Sh-trix employees were posting paragraph after paragraph on LinkedIn about they want to help those impacted? All they were doing was clearing their consciences of the sin they conducted and are looking for absolutions.
So after a few years you were not on a powerful clan and got the axe, sh-t happens.
Grow the f-c up and stop with this goodbye nonsense and stop praising sub-humans that pi---d on you. Just disappear into the night, you will never hear from these duplicitous current Sh-trix employees every again, and don’t waste time asking them for any help, they will just ignore you.
Just look forward and forget this sad chapter in your lives.
And for god sake STOP POSTING THESE GUSHING GOODBYES.
Nobody wants to hear them.

I feel that most of these LinkedIn comments aiming and praising colleagues and coworkers who we suffered together: I always read this as a praise for the people you worked with and not for the company.

"... And then there are spammers targeting LinkedIn members. Another reason to stop going on LinkedIn. ..."

15+ years now on LinkedIn, and I NEVER had any problems with spammers. It's all about having the right setup of your profile, and to know what you can get out of it by using it correctly.

What a Lot of Nonsense! If you can't say anything nice, don't say anything at all.

Seems recursive. Great wisdom. You can start following it by applying to your own message.

@qvb+1ebgo5OI.. and then there's Person C:

Person C does not tell anyone about being impacted by the layoff. They know that their severance is technically a non-working notice/leave period and are still technically employed by Citrix even though they do not go to the office. They use this to their advantage to start looking for work. When asked why they are looking, they tell potential companies and recruiters that there is a lot of turbulence at Citrix (layoffs, two CISO's in two years, lots of people resigning, etc.) and it's time to move on.

No one likes the stench of someone recently let go.

If anyone missed the memo of real life, this happens because we are taught that optimism  positivity sells even though most of the times people fake it. Its all about image building unfortunately, and thats how the industry works. So take a test:

Person-A - Got laid off from Citrix, and is puking about the company on Linkedin, but every single thing he mentioned as negatives are cold, hard and verifiable facts.

Person-B: Got laid off just like A, but is giving a load of praise about how great a place it was yada yada yada, and literally 95% of what they wrote are lies.

Who do you think people will react to favorably ? No prizes for guessing, Person-B. Dont hate the player hate the game, this is how its done, because to us Humans, what we can see becomes the truth even if its an illusion.

My first three years at Citrix were amazing, but it turned sour quick...so I personally am grateful for citrix but would not recommend it as a place to work

Couldn’t agree more! Stop posting these stupid posts about how you’re leaving at Citrix is a great place. Makes me want to throw up. This place has treated everyone like sh-t and is a place of horrors!

LinkedIn is full of people patting themselves on the back and wanting to show the world how fake they are. If you know you are capable and productive, you do not need to advertise it or imply what a great person you are to the world. It just makes you look showy and shallow.

And then there are spammers targeting LinkedIn members. Another reason to stop going on LinkedIn.
