Customers in the U.S. are watching this to see if Emerson caves to the Biden Bunch on the flu jab requirements. This may have devastating impacts on the high margin business here in the U.S. that bring so much cash into Emerson. One has to wonder if the “new board” understands where the real margins are made.

I heard only ~65% of US employees submitted their vax status so far.
(Actually, I heard 3 numbers today...65% is the highest.)

I'm proud of the 35% that haven't!

Unfortunately I procrastinate and will be on vacation on the 20th. Oh well, not getting my response with such a vague reason to ask for it.

I think HIPAA rules do apply to Emerson.

IT’S NOT THAT HARD TO GOOGLE THIS!

From HHS.gov

In general, the HIPAA Rules do not apply to employers or employment records. HIPAA only applies to HIPAA covered entities – health care providers, health plans, and health care clearinghouses – and, to some extent, to their business associates. If an employer asks an employee to provide proof that they have been vaccinated, that is not a HIPAA violation,…

Have the HIPAA confidentiality laws that HHS is responsible for overseeing and all states that have additional laws related to privacy of health information been waved for Emerson Electric?

And of course none of this takes into consideration the safety short + long term from getting multiple jabs of the “experimental authorization “ that Pfizer doesn’t want the fatality information released until around 2050 or recently they have asked that they not be forced to release until around the 2096 time frame. Looks like it is a very risky decision for us all…I hope everyone makes an educated decision!

If it holds up in court you can quit but you won’t be able to get a job at another 100 plus employer without the same requirement.

Submitted mine. Proud Emerson is doing it. They care about health of workforce more than I thought.

After the last few years, it’s clear Emerson doesn’t truly care about their employees. I won’t be taking medical advice from Emerson because it’s clear there is an agenda behind all of this. Don’t send me emails “concerned” about the health of me or my family, so my recommendation is the company needs to stay in their own lane. Fully prepared to leave of it comes to that.

So they give employees 14 days to tick a box, present proof of jab (if applicable) and then...what?...wait until the OSHA ETS is MAYBE put back into play? Emerson ought to just sit tight until the OSHA ETS is back in effect. They have no reason to ask for our private medical data, especially without there being an actual date by which it is required by law (not mandate). The Dec. 20 date is pulled out of the air (except that it is legally 14 days from today).

My answer is anyone asking for my medical records is going to be told to go pound sand.

If they think for one minute I will comply you're crazy. I know of atleast twenty of us that say they will be walked out before they give in to this Government and Big Tech, Big Business demands. So go ahead and fire us all.

Saw that email earlier today. I will not be forced into disclosing private medical information. I'm ready to deal with the fallout, whatever it may be.

I've already talked to a few people here. There is at least a handful here that will not do it. Go ahead and fire us. This company is going to crash and burn anyway.
