North Wales being a basket case probably accounts for the staff turnover and ongoing recruitment . surprising that CGG haven’t sold it off by now

No it’s not growth in North Wales. Just replacing the staff who had enough of the poor management provided by over promoted departmental heads.
As always, they have got rid of the experienced (expensive) geos - or they have had enough and left - and they don't have anyone around to do the work!
So they are recruiting (cheaper) grads although I see a "Geo/Senior Geo" mentioned too.
