CS mgmt has ZERO insight to market and tech trends. Prime example is the costly acquisitions they have overpaid for throughout the years in an attempt to acquire mkt share and ultimately end writing off the all or half the purchase price.
Employees are the company's most valuable asset because they can be laid off at will to cut cost. It hasn't occurred to management that they could try developing products which are in commercial demand and getting the sales team to leave the comfort of their chairs and actual market & sell products rather than always, always laying folks off as the first option. I'm sure that they have lost valuable skills-sets which they now need to develop new products. Short sighted with no vision!
