It's become really exhausting. However, once a person agrees to be overwhelmed with so much work, there seems to be no going back. My responsibilities are getting bigger and the paycheck is the same. I absolutely no longer want to work in 3 departments at the same time. Is there any solution other than to leave this place????

6 years employed as a merchandising leader or was shall I say...my first year was awesome...but as each year came and gone it has been declining ...it's always been
" Bad Management" it never gets resolved.. when walk through happens..the Mask goes on..meaning ..Here comes the fakeness..It's quite entertaining...I wonder if all department store managers are the same?
Are they truly able to get away with over working colleagues, can Labor board step in and investigate what's really going on managers are getting paid lovely and doing nothing..they take complete advantage of you
Working in multiple departments is very common in retail now.
Start looking for another job, its gonna get worse.
...and now Store Managers are gonna learn how to merchandise??? Ge-z, some of them don't even know how to use a scanner!!! Oof, it's looking even more scary for us Macyens!!!
I think the OP might be management since managers often have 2-3 different department areas of responsibility
Think through some alternatives to present to the 'management'.
Is everyone else also working multiple departments every day?
Can this be a rotating method for some 3 department days, some 2 dept., some 1 dept. days through the week?
If you present these alternatives and they are not answered properly, then moving on might be best for your well-being.
(If possible, let the 'management' think they came up with this brilliant scheme to retain their hardest workers.)
Good luck and best wishes.
