Thread regarding Macy's Inc. layoffs

I doubt there will be any changes for the better

There is more and more speculation about the changes that will follow, people are looking for details on how OVM roles will be changed, etc. Only one thing is clear to me, and that is that no change will benefit an ordinary employee who is trying to achieve something with his hard work. My personal opinion is that there won't be any changes for the better here, but maybe someone still thinks otherwise?

It's been announced already. OVM is being divided into 2 jobs, is still operations (Omni OPERATIONS Manager, managing the BACK of house OPERATIONS of Receiving and Fulfillment) and the other is Style Merchandise Execution Manager which includes VISUAL and all the FRONT of house OPERATIONS like merchandising, price changes, etc. So, no, operations isn't going away.

If I was you I would get far away from retail, at this point most jobs pay more. Retail will always be bottom barrel due to corporate greed and woke ideology. You’re treated better working at fast food establishments

It is becoming more obvious that Macy’s will eliminate FT positions. What retailer has a hiring event in January? They are trying to line up and hire more PT in order to minimize FT needs. Get ready I can see the 28 Hour FT work week on the horizon.
