This company is dangerously stuck in the past. Management pretends not to see it, but the company is crying out for young and talented people, who however are applying for Google or Facebook and don’t even think of applying here. Now I'm not even sure if this company can do anything to attract such people anymore.

If new grads want to get burned out and treated poorly, Dell is the place to be.
LOL...they're just checkboxes on the job application.
Grow the workforce knowledge base “Project Moonshot”

Career prospects are non existent. By career I mean growing your knowledge base, progressing professionally and building your market value, not rectal alpinism as it happens at dell. Its not about money as there are market rates.
Dell's benefit packages are sad. Don't just look at starting salaries! Their HR department has not used any of their leverage to lower health care and prescription dr-g costs! To anyone applying, don't just look at salary! Look at the overall benefit package!
Every DELL world summit should start with Britney Spears' song Toxic
@2ffo Either ex-coworkers that now work at Dell and tell me who toxic it is, or current coworkers that come from Dell and tell me how much more relaxed it is with my company. This website is also proof of the toxicity, though admittedly, less credible than hearing it offline.
Engineering and R&D in particular is what I was told.
where did you hear about the toxic environment?
Dell tried to poach me since I work for a competitor just recently. I have a little over three years of experience. I was tempted to say yes because it likely would have increased my salary but I have heard so much about how toxic Dell's work environment is.
So to answer your question, yes, they are trying to appeal to younger talent.
if it offered truckloads of money Dell undoubtedly will retain the young talent. starting annual comp of 300K (bonus included) will do.
What I can sell keyboards, monitors and what they call enterprise sw.
I'm going to dell
the candidates are out there and applying. The hiring mangers are too picky in their candidates, want mega skills which may or may not even be needed. Most managers are also picking only 'like them' candidates if you catch my drift.
Better salaries, better benefits, remote first policies.
Can I have Mikey's salary now?
