It's easy to put "plants" (shill) into a corporate meeting. On the more realistic side, I've known many people who are too dang loyal and naive at their jobs. I've left jobs, and when I'd check back, would hear how things got far, far worse. But still, people would defend the company dispite terrible treatment. You can't fix some people sadly. Many are brain washed and indoctrinated.

We now realize working 24/7 just isn't worth it. A lot of us put our lives on hold for a career later finding out that they don't care about us. Definitely not giving my life to a company anymore. Focusing on enjoying our time. They just want to rob us of our lives and time. Switched to part time bc we realized we shouldn't devote our personal time to working and growing in a career and someone else's dreams, but missing out on everything else. Self care is so important to have a great balance in life because life is very short. We must have fun.

worked for a company that had $40M “left over” from 2020 that they needed to spend… in the form of bonuses for all directors and above for their tireless flu efforts. Don’t mind all the front line workers though. We’ll give them a spirit week and a pizza party.

Honestly, people need to re-evaluate their perspectives in relation to American employers. That's what is going to help people. We couldn't give less of a doody about this PR, psy ops, optics, messaging doody. The number of people watching fake "news" who are capable of re-evaluating any perspective they have is minuscule. These are the sad sheeple who watch sports and wear another guy's jersey..wowsers. Any group trying to promote better treatment of American workers is going to get all kinds of hit pieces, and smears. No matter how good their arguments, psy ops, or their optics are.

OptumRx gives good bonuses. Merit increase there is no control over so yes it’s small. But my audit team always receives a 20k to 10k annual bonus for getting one audit report issued annually so I just don’t understand all the complaining. We love our jobs. Never one lay off on our team in the 11 years I’ve been here. Got to run now off to Whole Foods for some groceries.

We don't want these corny bonuses based on illusions, delusions, and chasing goal posts by some normie boomer. Those bonuses are taxed around 50%. We want ownership, shares a real stake in the corporation like other countries. Sick of being a corporate slave. People over profits.

NP, they confirm hires dates and possibly if you are eligible for re-hire. As a NP it won't hurt you, too much need. And yes, Optum is horrific place for NPs doing the nursing homes stuff. I walked and never looked back.

I walked off the job as an np for optum- no notice -left. Hated it. I never had a write up or any disciplinary action during the 18 months of nursing home and optum He-l. Does anyone know if this will affect any references I may need from optum going forward. Or can they only confirm dates of hire ?

Capitalist regimes also over-glorify a lot of our menial work, it may sound silly when you're on the other end of it but that's just how propaganda works, everything can be and is used as propaganda, even that corney 9-5 song and people that idolize watching The Office, Undercover boss, still, whether subconsciously or consciously, are glorifying menial tasks that we have to do in our day-to-day live in capitalist regimes.

I was employee #2 in a startup with all the happy talk and bloated claims.
I was very well aware that the company could shut down at any moment, any day, and I agreed to a junky salary thinking that I will get a piece of equity.
2+ years in, still no equity, the business is far from being profitable, the founder is struggling with funding and I feel like I'm getting exploited. So I quit to start my own business.
Yes, business owners take more risks but so do employees. We all have to make decisions to make our dreams come true. Moptum is not a dream. It's a horror show.
Business owners tend to dump all their problems on their employees thinking they get paid for that. Guess what? If a business fails, it's the owner's fault.
