Long successful career

Some have made enviable careers here, I know that, but I’m not sure if it’s still possible to grow a long successful career here? I have been here for five years and despite all my efforts I have not been able to make any career progress. I'm starting to lose motivation.

You’ll be out the door soon. 25 years. Get ready.

What do you consider progress? Moving up to manager then director then VP roles?

Depending on your location, trying adding a new skill set or group that you work with. This is year 25 for me and I don’t manage anyone and I am quite happy with that.

If the job gets stale, look around at all the groups that are hiring. If you are based out of one of the regional campuses, there are a ton of opportunities. Start increasing your product knowledge and “advance” your career with certifications and financial services acumen.
