Thread regarding Citrix Systems Inc. layoffs

Soon there'll be nobody left to do the work

I don't understand how we can be having more cuts when we are understaffed as it is. Even without their interference, people are leaving. I wonder if they even realize how many people are actively looking and will be gone as soon as the right opportunity presents itself. They will find themselves scrambling to get more employees to be able to get anything done sooner than they think.

Tend to agree. Lots of uncertainty in the air, lack of ELT responsiveness to this uncertainty and everyone trying to get their bonus and rsu’s before high tailing out. The ELT emails from yesterday did little to assuage this uncertainty which tells you something about the effectiveness of the ELT.

The impact of the folks leaving + layoffs will be felt later, by end of the year. Must customer contracts are for 1 year+. So any dissatisfied customer would have to wait until the contract ends.

My department is understaff even though we are breaking records on revenue. There is a significant amount of folks applying for jobs now and others waiting for the RSUs in April to depart.

I have been here for 10+ years. I have never seen this level of uncertainty and staffing problems before. My guess is we will see the biggest exit of employees ever from now until May.

I am certain upper management knows the effects of their decisions. I am going to assume their goal is to sell the company, hence they need to reduce cost as much as possible. Besides, regardless if their decisions are good or bad, they will still make millions.
