Thread regarding Baker Hughes layoffs

Baker Hughes and the Peter Principle

The Peter Principle is an observation that the tendency in most organizational hierarchies, such as that of a corporation, is for every employee to rise in the hierarchy through promotion until they reach a level of respective incompetence.

Happens all the time and it’s quite obvious it happens A LOT at Baker. HR offers zero support to ensure that positions are filled with competent people and properly trained.

Doesn’t apply to bkr. There is no ceiling for incompetence and I’ve seen a ton of talent suppressed because they weren’t the boss’s favorite.

I’m not even joking or being bitter/ironic.
