Covid symptoms?? Come to work cuz INVENTORY

A coworker of mine was feeling sick and called out sick. Supervisor called her and asked her why she calling out sick because our inventory is the next day. She said she’s feeling sick and has to get tested for covid. Another coworker in another department has cold and feeling very sick but did test and was negative for covid. She was still very sick but the manager said don’t call out and come to work cuz if inventory. What horrible supervisors. Come to work even if you’re dying šŸ™„ And keep in mind, we have a bunch people out cuz they have covid.

Make sure you wear a KN95 or N95 mask during inventory. A regular mask does not give the best protection. In fact, if you can hack it wear 2 masks (one over the other). The OMICRON variant is super super contagious, 4-5 times more contagious than Delta. Delta produces 1000X more virus in your nasal passage than Classic Covid.
Take extra care in stockrooms as they typically are poorly ventilated. Safety First!

If you do your wellness check and you are that sick, you should not pass the questions.
You will not be able to come in building. Then call HR and let them know. Don’t be afraid.
We don’t have these issues in my store, Health and family first is what my store Manager. Says. They will get through Inventory

Couple of things you can do,
Talk to your store manager about your concerns.
Reach out to Macy's HR By, If you have concerns about harassment, discrimination, alcohol or dr-g abuse on the job, unsafe situations, theft or fraud, false or misleading accounting or violations of correct company policy, you can talk to any trusted People Leader, an HR representative, the office of Solutions InSTORE (see bullet above), or contact ComplianceConnections by phone, 1-800-763-7290, or online, www.macyscomplianceconnections.com.
If you're concern that none of these resources will work you can also do the following,
Reach out to OSHA, https://www.osha.gov/workers/file-complaint Please know that they will only send a letter to the store looking for "What actions will the employer do to correct this". So in other words, the store will have HR send them a document showing that no one has follow a grievance about the said complaint and the stores manager will reply that it was never brought to their attention. OSHA will then not investigate the complaint. This is why I suggest you or your coworker go through Macy's HR.
You could also contact the local/states Board of Health.
