Thread regarding Teradata Corp. layoffs

More data - less opinions please

It seems that an adult from Teradata has been sent to this site in an attempt to provide a management view and opinion.

Instead of POVs, perhaps they could comment on some real data such as the number of shares being (allocated to for free and then) dumped by senior management (don’t call them Leaders) and Directors ? Maybe the layoff should start here.

Details on the following link….public domain information on how much money is being dished out to people that are not performing in their roles.

Could also look at the performance on quarterly revenue data:

Must be a worrying time for many with Q4 numbers released soon. How many times can you dress up numbers to try and avoid the fact that the company is shrinking, not growing ?

Any positive quarterly comparison (to prior year or previous quarter) is going to be quite challenging this time around.

I would be careful that the razor doesn’t cut the hand that feeds you, Chappers…

Whilst I don’t think the OP was asking for your opinion, it is most interesting that you don’t appear on any of these reports or any other SEC filings.

Why would that be ?

Based on the tone and unsubstantiated opinions in the post, it is difficult to assume that this question is being asked in good faith, and I doubt that any response would meet OPs expectations.

If the question is sincere, then Occam's Razor holds true here and the answer pertaining to "Why sell?" is a diversified portfolio, and pertaining to "When to sell?" is largely predetermined according to Rule 10b5.
