SH? AD? Others, just learned CIO left as well...? Among others?

Let’s give KR and this leadership team a chance.
They had a chance, and blamed a (then) two-month old COVID epidemic for the past years' abysmal numbers. At this point I'm surprised we haven't heard 'planetary alignments during the summer solstice' as a reason customers are trampling each other to get out. These shills are hilarious, do they pay you guys in expired Milk Duds or what?
Let’s give KR and this leadership team a chance. The new year just started, let’s see if they pick up AB’s plan that AD thought of reviving. Let’s give them a chance and see what they do.
KR hasn't got a clue, I've never heard so much Ba11sh1t from one's mouth,
he is getting laughed at and is not respected. Who does he think will do this work, there is no one left!

"Several plans were on the table for the big wigs in terms of a path forward. . . . But AD felt uncomfortable with these plans especially since AB was gone. These plans had to do with feasibility strategies that AB had worked on, but AD would’ve been comfortable if AB was still around to oversee things."
In other words, AD couldn't function without AB, his crony from the previous failed leadership team. AD obviously has no sense of independence.

So we're harking back to plans that the previous clown fiddled with and never implemented by his messiah, His Eminence Mr. Giggles. It's difficult to create a renaissance for a sinking company when the saviors have bailed out of here with golden parachutes. That previous leadership team existed 280 million years ago. Continents have shifted, new species have evolved, and we're going to create a path forward based on a plan created back then? We're in much worse shape than we thought.
from @9qcf+1eEpCdNQ:
"but AD was results-oriented"
Yeah man, especially when AD was so dependent on half-baked ideas from the one and only AB.

"HR is revising the culture for a more modern Silicon Valley type company."
Away at once with legacy bathrooms! How dare we have such hideous things. The path to the Sungard Renaissance is implementing non-binary bathrooms.

"KR is going to take on a more architectural role and will start outlining a cool path forward for DRaaS."
How thoughtful of him. He's finally going to "start outlining a cool path forward for DRaaS." There's just one complication: KR has no idea what DRaaS is, and his understanding of architecture is to architect his own golden parachute from this place.
"KR has ideas for architecture direction."
Well, good luck with that. I wouldn't trust KR to mow my lawn, let alone take charge of technology initiatives.
@absb+1eEpCdNQ:
"KR has insights" OMG I almost choked on my drink.
——-
Laugh all you want. You will see. KR has ideas for architecture direction. Here in India many of us look forward to what he will do. In this office, there is word he will take on bigger role.
"KR has insights" OMG I almost choked on my drink. Next you'll be telling me JM has insights. Or any of the handful of others still leading seemingly charmed lives for whatever reasons.
We're pioneers in disaster recovery, after all.
Not quite correct - leave off 'recovery' and you'd be closer. KR has insights into the career survival of KR and that's about it; this company is as close to a renaissance as GG Allin is to repainting the Sistine Chapel ceiling.
from @arwb+1eEpCdNQ: "Did you hear ANYTHING at all in that sales kickoff meeting that even remotely sounded like "there's a plan that could really turn this company around"??
It happened after the sales kickoff meeting, a discussion with KR. The idea was not to overwhelm everyone at the kickoff. That's what I heard. But KR is going to take on a more architectural role and will start outlining a cool path forward for DRaaS. I agree with the other posters that this could be a renaissance for the company. KR has insights into technology and I have a feeling he'll be looking closely at competitors and see how we position ourselves in that space for a turnaround. We're pioneers in disaster recovery, after all.
I don’t know if I agree with this new found hope. My hope flew out the window when MH left. We don’t even have a sales force anymore. WTF!!! We aren’t void of leadership, our leadership exist to suck the life from this company and liquidate.
Tell us about SKO. Where was it this time? What's the latest rope we're trying to push?
Come on people. Did you hear ANYTHING at all in that sales kickoff meeting that even remotely sounded like "there's a plan that could really turn this company around"??
If AB had a plan, why didn't Giggles implement it? AB was Giggle's guy.

I don’t care about the naysayers. I agree with the other poster that this can lead to a renaissance type thing for SgAS. I always felt that AB left his mark in some way. I know his style, he had something up his sleeve like a real business strategist. I hope the leadership honors his ideas and use them as the basis for a turnaround.
Yes. That's what customers are clamoring for. A Silicon Valley Culture. Please get help
Ummmm @9bwf+1eEpCdNQ what the? Where can I get what you are smoking?
No, I think he has it right. It's almost certainly too late. That window of opportunity has long since closed.
At this point they would have to come up with something truly unique and/or add clear, undisputed value to someone else's product, instead of watering down someone else's product, marking it up and trying to resell that. Customers are getting smarter, and they're shopping around.

Wow, this is awesome. To the OP, you're too pessimistic. You got to look at this as good news. I hope the leadership team has the courage to follow through with these plans despite AD no longer here. And big kudos to AB, I knew there was something to those rumors. No way is this company fading away. There's life still in it. So combine that with the other news that HR is revising the culture for a more modern Silicon Valley type company and we could be on our way to like a renaissance.
My source mentioned that a certain director had a talk with AD just before he left. Several plans were on the table for the big wigs in terms of a path forward. Some even go back to the previous regime. But AD felt uncomfortable with these plans especially since AB was gone. These plans had to do with feasibility strategies that AB had worked on, but AD would’ve been comfortable if AB was still around to oversee things and if they had tackled these initiatives years ago, the situation would have been better. Supposedly, one plan concerned infrastructure-as-a-service; another was reviving recovery automation but developed with low code development. This stuff is probably where the rumor stemmed about “AB plans” that some people here mentioned. It’s all ridiculous to me but I didn’t want to argue with my source. So I just kept on listening. Anyway, the story goes that the big wigs wasn’t sure how to proceed like there was a paralysis or crisis of confidence with these plans, but AD was results-oriented. A clash of styles. Of course, the reality is, it’s more than a clash of styles—this leadership is simply clueless.
Also looks like company blocks email from many former employees.
Been doing it forever. Great ideas with other people's money that don't come to fruition. Astounding. Just like soicialism. Soon enough, you run out of other people money
HG - How the he-l as he managed to keep his job, useless ideas that ki---d a complete department within 4 yrs! WoW.
CF. Good riddance. Not exactly a kick a$$ CIO. She never accomplished anything other than racking up frequent flier miles with British Airways. I heard internal IT is under HG which is an even bigger joke.
IT team is reporting to HG.
Yes, CF was shown the door.
who are all the BA/IT people reporting to now?
Probably the Prince of Busywork, Denver without the D.
Since when did anyone send a goodbye email?
Never knew they had a CIO. Who was there CIO???
If they sent a goodbye email you all would criticize it anyways.
Probably because they left involuntarily. If CF left, who are all the BA/IT people reporting to now?
